We serve the septic pumping needs of South Jersey residents and businesses in Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester and Atlantic counties. It is recommended that you pump your septic tank every 2 years at minimum. Depending on the size of your family and your tank you should pump it more frequently. We offer both scheduled and same day services and our rates are clearly displayed on this Website. In addition to septic pumping we offer bacteria treatments, annual inspections and a wide array of other septic services. Proper care of a septic system will extend its life and prevent costly repairs.
Piggy’s pumps grease traps for businesses throughout South Jersey. Grease traps are intended to capture grease so that it doesn’t end up in sanitary systems. A grease trap that is not pumped regularly will cause grease to plug your sanitary lines and can allow untreated waste to back up. The regularly scheduled pumping of grease traps is a crucial element of any establishment that serves food. A system backup could lead to heath code violations and municipal fines.
We work with engineers and builders throughout South Jersey on new septic system installations to help you select and design the proper septic system for your home or business. We work with state and municipal governments to pull all of the proper permits and licenses for each job. The process usually involves plan development, plan approval, a permit, and a pre-cover inspection. Our excavation teams have had decades of experience installing septic systems for both businesses and communities. We get the job done on budget and on time, every time.
South Jersey has a lot of older septic systems, but most are still in working order. Septic system repairs are often the result of an under-maintained septic system and can become quite costly because most often they require the excavation of your property. How to Prevent A Failed Septic System: Have System Pumped Regularly, Have System Inspected, Don’t Overload Your System, Use Bacteria Treatments, Keep Trees & Roots Clear of Tank, Use a Large Leaching System. Make sure your septic system is well maintained to ensure that you don’t need to repair your septic system in the future.
At Piggy’s we understand that septic system inspections are crucial to the sale of a home. Most home buyers in south Jersey will not purchase a home without a proper septic inspection. A home inspection is not the same as a septic inspection. A home inspector will only inspect the plumbing lines leading into the system. The system itself should be inspected and tested using a dye test and/or open pit test. This will verify the proper function of the septic system or identify where it is failing. The seller is normally the person paying for a septic inspection. It is well worth the money to have a septic inspection even before you put the home on the market. We will give you a certification of operation stating that the system was in full working order when we tested it.
